Has a vendor ever said “Sign this, it’s our standard boilerplate contract?”  Districts are constantly negotiating vendor contracts, but how can they know if the contracts actually protect the district?  This presentation will help districts build a better contract by discussing typical terms and identifying potentially problematic provisions.  We will provide tips on how to avoid getting stuck with a bad vendor, spot hidden provisions that create liability, and address deal-breaker provisions.
