On December 15, 2022, the Cal/OSHA Standards Board voted to adopt final regulations for the prevention of COVID-19 in the workplace. The Office of Administrative Law (“OAL”) has 30 working days to approve the new regulation. Once approved, the regulation will remain in effect for two years after the effective date. While many of the requirements of the Emergency Temporary Standards (“ETS”) will remain in effect, there are new provisions.
